About the Album

This album was recorded in 2004 in Bloomington, IN, USA. The songs in it were taught to me by an Afghan singer named Waheed, whom I met there in those days. I released this album on the anniversary of Ahmad Zahir’s birth and death, dedicating it to his memory and to the Afghan people who today are deprived of their right to live in dignity.
